Photography
Derek has over 10 years of experience in almost every segment of photography you can imagine. Derek's favorite style of photography involves deliberate and aggressive control of the lighting environment, allowing him to control all elements of the feel of the image. While this may be his favorite, his experience and skills can easily adapt to whatever aesthetic you are hoping to capture in your images.
One thing is clear: Derek will do absolutely anything required to get the shot perfect shot for you. For example, he once waded out into freezing cold Lake Superior, risking damage to his gear to get just the right angle.
Videography
Videography is a newer addition to dBM's services, inspired by Eau Claire's very own Emm K of ValleyKil, and Greg Smith of Tiny Giant Studios. While this is a newer service to be offered, Derek's experience in photography directly correlates to the concepts required for video, and dBM has brought his photography style to video is ready to take things to the next level for your projects.
dBM also has an added skill set in building props/FX to bring your ideas to life. As seen in the photo posted here, dBM built a shiplap wall with the sole intention of setting it on fire.
Audio Production
While dBM's primary services are photography and videography, their extensive experience around audio allows them to bring projects full-circle. You can't have a great quality video without great sounding audio to match. Contact us today to discover the full range of services we offer.
